Chris is a Patent Examiner and Patent Analyst at the Intellectual Property Office (IPO).
An electromechanical engineer by training, he joined the IPO in 2008 and specialises in the search and examination of patents relating to pictorial communication, which includes televisions, surveilliance systems, and video processing. Alongside examining patent applications, he is also part of the Patent Informatics Team where he is heavily involved in the analysis of patent data to provide patent landscaping and technology trend analysis for government and industry.
