Registered designs has often been described as the Cinderella right of the intellectual property world.
Lynda joined the Patent Office (now Intellectual Property Office) in 1988, and has worked in the patents, trade mark and designs teams. Lynda has held a number of operational and tribunal roles, working as a trade mark examiner and ex parte Hearing Officer and then as an inter partes Hearing Officer.
More recently, Lynda has focussed on business change and project management and is a Business Change Practitioner. Lynda was the Business Change lead for a major IT and business improvement project transforming the way in which customers seeking a trade mark file their applications and interact with the Office. Lynda is currently leading the Office's Designs Modernisation project which is a key part of the IPO’s transformation programme.
