To misquote a line from the film, ‘Hellboy’: what makes a patent examiner a patent examiner?
Paul Minton joined the Office in 1996 and is currently a senior patent examiner specialising in coating compositions, adhesives, and polymer additives. He holds a degree and PhD in chemistry from the University of Wales. In his spare time, he enjoys writing humorous rhymes for children, some of which have been broadcast in Australia. Having been a runner up at the All Wales Comic Verse contest for the last four years, he is hoping to publish his first collection of poetry soon.
